Cornithian Columns

Inspired by a photo of Lviv's energy station on fire in April of 2022, this piece,

named "Corinthian Columns" is a made with gouache and watercolor pencils on paper.

Chaotic yet calm, the grandure of the fire clouds creates a heavy silhouette of a passing moment

withing the destruction that birthed it.

At only 12x17 cm (5x7in) the image brings you very close with its intricate details

yet never giving a resolution to what hides underneath.
